Collector's Overview

Below are some of the types of items in my collection. These include predominantly patches but also uniforms, plaques, photos, and personal groupings. A large part of my collection came either directly from individuals, base units like parachute shops, or their estates. 

Patches

These patches were given to me by Lt Col Tony Marshal off of his helmet bag. Most of my patches are US Air Force but also include a significant number of Navy, Army, Marine Corp, and Foreign such as Vietnamese.

Uniforms

My collection of uniforms include a wide variety of items to include party suits, Navy flight jackets, Flight suits, shirts, hats, and scarfs.

Plaques & Awards

Plaques and awards include a variety of items to include engrave mugs, medals, wood plaques, and presentation items such as the picture on the left which was given to Adrian Drew by his squadron. The patches are not decals but individually hand-painted on the helmet.

groupings

I have a number of groupings of different individuals which primarily came out of estate sales. Some groupings are small while others like a grouping from a member of the Dirty Thirty is very extensive. Groupings contain various items such as uniforms, personal documentation, photographs, medals and flight helmets.

famous INDIVIDUALS

I have a number of items from famous individuals such as Shorty Rankin, Robin Olds, Adrian Drew, and Gabby Gabreski. The frame on the left was given to Gabby by the 353rd Fighter Day Squadron. 

photos

I have an extensive collection of photographs. The photographs on the left are from the Korean War. I have photos from WWII through Vietnam to include items such as personal photos, press photos with captions, and Naval vessels.
